Every day, millions of people and their families experience the devastating effects of cancer. World Cancer Day falls on February 4th each year and raises awareness surrounding the global fight to cure cancer. The following US-based organizations are doing the critical and important work to find the cure for cancer of all types through research, advocacy, and global collaboration. Your donation to this Fund will help these nonprofits continue their search for a cure while providing support to and hope to those impacted by cancer.

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, a time to honor the victims and survivors of childhood cancer. The American Cancer Society reports that approximately 9,910 children in the United States under the age of 15 will be diagnosed with cancer in 2023. Cancer is currently one of the leading causes of death in children in the United States, and the leading cause of death in children by disease. The following organizations are working towards a shared mission of ending childhood cancer and supporting children and families impacted by a pediatric cancer diagnosis. These organizations are providing supportive services for children and families impacted by pediatric cancer and utilizing research and advocacy to innovate medical treatments and increase awareness surrounding pediatric cancer in an effort to find a cure.

Childhood Cancer Awareness Month is recognized every September by childhood cancer organizations around the world. With a goal to increase awareness and raise funds for those affected by childhood cancer, September is the best opportunity to rally interest and to get others involved in the cause. AppD Cares is fortunate to have a group of impactful global nonprofit partners dedicated to finding cures and making sure that Childhood Cancer will eventually become a thing of the past. In honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, AppD Cares has donated $20,000 split evenly to Children with Cancer UK, the Care-for-Rare Foundation (Germany), St. Jude Children’s Research Center and St. Baldrick’s.

Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food - because all a family should worry about is helping their child live. Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago. World Children's Day, recognized annually on November 20th, advocates for the protection of children's rights without discrimination around the globe.
